Center for Produce Safety held our 5th annual research symposium in Newport Beach, CA at the Island Hotel on June 24-25, 2014. The symposium featured 22 CPS-funded research programs and discussions on what the research means to the produce industry. We have endeavored to identify 10 key lessons learned from the 2014 CPS Symposium. Additionally, the latest information about specific research projects mentioned in this document is available via CPS’s website.
Special thanks to the Produce Marketing Association for providing these Key Learnings. These lessons were prepared by PMA staff – Dr. Bob Whitaker, Chief Science & Technology Officer, and Dr. Jim Gorny, Vice President Food Safety & Technology.
