A mixture of a copper based compound and a biological control agent reduced the incidence or severity of bacterial leaf spot on lettuce in 4 out of 6 experiments conducted over a three year period. In some of these experiments disease incidence and severity did not differ on plants to which the mixture was applied as compared to plants to which the individual compounds were applied. Occasionally, the individual components of the mixture significantly reduced disease incidence or severity when compared to the untreated controls.
