Registration opens for Produce Research Symposium

Davis, California, Feb. 15, 2011 - Registration is now open for the Center for Produce Safety's 2011 Produce Research Symposium, to be held June 28 in Orlando, Florida. For more information about the program and registration - including early savings deadlines - visit the CPS website.

From tomatoes to tree crops, from East Coast to West Coast and around the globe, this year's symposium will feature topics of interest for anyone responsible for providing safe produce.  The agenda will include reports on results of completed CPS-funded research projects, updates on ongoing research, and poster presentations.

"The Florida fruit and vegetable industry is pleased to welcome the global produce and food safety community for this important second annual Produce Research Symposium," said Mike Stuart, president of the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association and member of the CPS Advisory Board. "We are looking forward to continuing and expanding on the success and momentum of the first symposium."

Online registration is available through June 27; attendees may also register onsite on June 28 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. Registration for the symposium, includes continental breakfast, buffet lunch and a closing reception.
